英國央行加息，就經濟衰退風險發出警告
英國央行周四以27年來最大幅度加息，以抑制飆升的通脹，但也警告說長期經濟衰退即將到來。英國央行警告說，英國正面臨經濟衰退，央行將指標利率提高了50個基點至1.75%，以遏制通脹。雖然英國央行加息50個基點，但英鎊仍見一度下跌，這或因英國央行對英國經濟的悲觀預測。貨幣市場對今年加息的預期在英國央行加息後沒有立即發生改變，市場預期今年剩餘時間將再加息95個基點。英國央行總裁貝利周四表示，讓英國通脹率恢復到2%的目標是絕對優先事項，並表示在未來的政策會議上，所有選項都存在。
技術圖表所見，英鎊兌美元自7月中旬以來呈上調走勢，MACD指標剛上破訊號線，而匯價亦剛上破了起延自2月的下降趨向線，預料英鎊仍有進一步走高的動力，延伸目標預估為1.23及1.25水準，較大阻力將參考5月底高位1.2659。至於支持位回看25天平均線1.2030，其後參考1.1960及1.1880，下一級關注7月低位1.1757水準。
