歐元 - 美國降息押注推遲，美元急升
美元指數周一觸高至106.24，為11月2日以來最高。美國3月零售銷售數據強於預期，暗示美國聯邦儲備理事會(FED)可能推遲今年的降息。美國3月零售銷售增長0.7%，超出預期的增長0.3%。上周公佈的數據暗示，通脹比之前市場預期的更具粘性。期貨市場目前預計美聯儲在12月底前將降息44個基點，年初時的預期為超過160個基點。根據芝商所(CME)的FedWatch工具，市場目前預計首次降息將在9月。紐約聯邦儲備銀行總裁威廉姆斯周一在接受彭博電視採訪時表示，上周強於預期的消費者物價指數數據是影響預測的重要信息，但他並不認為最近的通脹數據是一個轉折點。他還稱，今年可能開始降息。另有數據顯示，紐約聯儲製造業指數低於預期，4月美國房屋建築商信心指數在連續四個月上漲後持平。投資者還關注中東緊張局勢升級，認為這會增加對避險美元的需求。以色列周一在考慮如何應對伊朗周末發動的導彈和無人機襲擊時，面臨來自盟國越來越大的壓力，要求其保持克制，避免中東衝突升級。
歐元兌美元周一最低跌至1.0622美元，為去年11月3日以來最弱。歐元上周錄得2022年9月底以來的最大單周百分比跌幅，因歐洲央行為6月降息敞開了大門。技術圖表可見，歐元兌美元上周自1.09水準遇阻回落，繼而本周更回破1.07關口，而二月中旬低位1.0693，亦即此區失守後，預料歐元正開啟新一波下跌。較大支持將會看至1.0610及11月低位1.0515，之後就是10月低位1.0450以至1.03水準。上方阻力則會回看1.07及1.0760，較大阻力看至100天平均線1.0860水平。
